This project aims to continuously enhance the function of safety and health mutual aid system (SHMAS), to reinforce accident prevention and emergency preparedness, and to reduce industrial accidents within the industrial parks. It provides guidance to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which suffer from poor, e.g., dangerous, difficult, and dirty working environment, on working environment improvement in order to comply with regulations. To minimize shutdown loss and machinery hazards, it provides technical guidance on safety operation of dangerous machinery and equipment to prolong machinery life, to seek alternative voluntary inspection, and to campaign for the legalization of fixed crane applications. Utilizing supply and demand chain between the central and peripheral factories, a safety and health synergy system is established to promote and strengthen safety and health improvement. To assist the emerging solar energy industries with safety and health technical guidance, a voluntary inspection and evaluation system on safety and health along with process safety are established. This project provides timely research findings with analyses on safety and health regulations, so that industries can be better prepared for whatever legal changes. It also solicits suggestions from industries regarding legal modification for the authorities’ reference. It holds all sorts of safety and health campaign activities to elevate safety and health standards and to reduce occupational accidents and diseases.
